Hi! Welcome to my first blog. We all like mysteries. In this blog I will share story about a mysterious village that is still a mystery.
Kuldhara village in Rajastan. It is located near about 18 km from “Jaisalmer: The golden city of India”. This all began with a Diwan (revenue minister). Salam Singh. He was a cruel diwan and a person because when he was 11-years-old his father who even was a diwan was killed in front of him in the palace. From that day he wanted to rebel and capture the whole palace and city of Jaisalmer.
Kuldhara village was established by Pariwal Bhramins in 1291, the village had about 600 houses. Once when Salam Singh was surveying Kuldhara village he saw daughter of the Pujari (Priest), his intentions became bad.
He tried his best to fulfill his lust towards daughter of pujari but did not succeed. He even tried to kidnap the girl a couple of times. Salam Singh became so frustrated that he issued a order that the girl should be delivered to his mansion before next Puranmasi or else he would attack the village with his soilders.
The Pariwal Bhramins became tensed after knowing this. They decided to do a meeting at the village temple. At the meeting hour everyone began to gave suggestions and after a lot of discussion they decided to leave the village. They knew this that the plan of leaving the village should be executed soon or else Salam Singh would get to know about this and would attack us, so they decided to leave the village at the same night.
At night, the residents of Kuldhara village took only the precious items with them and left the other things like clothes and the burning chulhas (stove). But while leaving the village the Pariwal Bhramins cursed the village that no-one would be able to settle at the village and if someone tries to do so, that person would never nourish of even die. The day after the Puranmasi Salam Singh attacked village with his soilders but there he found only silence. The soilders of Salam Singh tried to settle at the village but did not nourish. People who left the village were never seen again and they just disappeared in a mysterious way.
This was how a happy village was abandoned in a night. Even today it is not permitted to anyone to live at the village. The Rajasthan government has built a boundry near the village and no-one can wait after 4 p.m at the village due to local beliefs of paranormal activities observed in the village, BUT that should be discussed in a another Blog.
